As a Solicitor with more than 20 years legal experience, Jeremy appears at all stages of criminal cases, from police station to trial or sentence. Jeremy is at his best ‘representing the little guys against the big guys’. He has conducted a range of Crown Court and Magistrates' Court trials and successfully appealed sentences in the Court of Appeal.
Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1986, joining RM Broudie and Co. He spent 11 years with The David Taylor Partnership before joining Kirwans. He has been a member of the duty solicitor panel since 1989 and obtained Higher Court Advocacy Rights for criminal matters in 2005. Jeremy is also a long-standing member of Liverpool Law Society’s Criminal Practice Committee.

Jeremy rates the acquittals in the five-month ‘Risley Riot’ trial of 1990 as one of his many professional highlights. He is also proud to have been involved in the first judicial review of the Hillsborough inquest in 1993. Recently he defended an anti-fracking protestor in an important trial before a Lancashire court.
