A leading North West law firm has unveiled a series of new signings as part of its continuing expansion drive.
Merseyside-based Kirwans has hired Clare Ellison as Head of Family, while Angela Whittick joins as a Commercial solicitor.
Clare, who was previously with Southport firm Hodge Halsall, specialises in divorce work, children matters and domestic violence. She is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and Resolution.
Angela joins Kirwans from Manchester-based WE Solicitors, but has also worked for Brabners Chaffe Street and the North West Development Agency as an in-house lawyer.
Other new appointments include Lisa Alty, who joins as Sales and Campaign Executive from Brabners Chaffe Street. Lisa, who will report to Head of Client Services Andrea Davies, will have responsibility for developing and delivering campaigns to help the firm achieve a range of business objectives.
Two other appointments include Debbie Chadwick who joins the firm’s IT team as a trainer and case management developer, while Natali Farrell joins the Crime department as Road Traffic Legal Advisor.
The latest appointments mean that Kirwans has increased staff numbers by more than 20 per cent year-on-year.

In addition to new appointments, Kirwans has also recently opened a fourth office at the Brunswick Business Park in Liverpool and extensively refurbished its Prenton office in Wirral.
