Kirwans Lawyer Launches Mums in Business Networking Group

A leading Merseyside law firm is launching its own networking club for mothers working in business.

The club, Mums in Business, is aimed primarily at mums who are entrepreneurs, professionals or holding management roles in companies around the region.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 8, in the conference room at the Martins Building in Liverpool, where Kirwans’ has its city centre office.

The networking club is the brainchild of Kirwans solicitor Claire Currie, who has herself recently returned to work after the birth of her first child.

Each event, held over lunch, will include a couple of speakers as well as refreshments and plenty of opportunity to network with other working mothers.

Claire said: “It struck me that there were plenty of networking organisations in Merseyside, but nothing aimed specifically at professional working mothers. Mums in Business aims to bring together the growing number of working mums in and around the city to socialise and hopefully do business together.

“We have already had significant interest in the club and expect to get a good turnout for our first event on September 8.”
