Leading Merseyside law firm, Kirwans, have recruited housing law expert Michelle Stevenson to head up its newly formed, specialist housing litigation department.

Partner Michelle, who joins Kirwans from Stephensons Solicitors, has extensive expertise in the areas of both public and private housing litigation - including possession, housing disrepair and anti social behaviour.

In her new role she will manage and grow Kirwan’s housing litigation division, which will strengthen the already established commercial department.

Speaking about her appointment, Michelle commented: “I am joining Kirwans at a very exciting time as the firm continues its expansion into additional niche areas. It will be fantastic to use my specialist knowledge to benefit the landlord and tenant clients of the practice. ”

Michelle completed her LLB (Hons) Law Degree at Liverpool John Moores University in 1999, and completed her Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, Chester in 2000. She qualified at Stephensons Solicitors and progressed through the ranks, eventually heading up the firm’s housing department.
