David Kirwan, Senior Partner, is one of the leading lawyers in Merseyside
and the North West, overseeing three offices in Wirral and Liverpool.
He started out almost 40 years ago specialising in criminal law but has
since worked on high profile cases across most aspects of law including
fraud, judicial review, professional negligence, commercial litigation,
licensing and private client.
David, who is married with two children and lives on the Wirral, has acted
for clients in some of the region's biggest stories. He represented Wendy
and Bill Ainscow, the couple who planned a suicide pact after being let
down by the authorities over the treatment of their daughter. The central
role of David and his wife Julie was featured in the ITV docu-drama Mysterious
Creatures, which starred Brenda Blethyn and Timothy Spall. He has also
represented many clients throughout the UK whose high profile cases have
attracted TV and extensive media coverage.
Whether at work or away from the office, David works tirelessly to promote
Wirral and Merseyside; he is a Councillor on Metropolitan Borough of Wirral
Council, a member of local regeneration bodies and a school governor.
He was an Isle of Man Manx Grand Prix racer and recently secured his pilot's
licence. He is also a Yacht Master.
